Energetic decontamination in Mainz: Academy of Sciences and Literature

The project involved renovating the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz with a view to making it more energy efficient. A special German programme to revive the economy in the wake of the 2009 economic crisis funded this project. The plenary hall, which is the jewel of the academy, was using immense amounts of energy. This had to be sanitized to save heat and air conditioning costs. This was done with minimum means. In addition, the main wing of the building was fitted out with high-quality triple glazing which also helped reduce energy costs and improve work conditions in terms of noise and temperature. The project was planned, sub-contractors were found and co-ordinated, supervised and billed in accordance with our assignment from the academy.
